| ABSPlus - The standard system shortens the braking distance of the Touareg on loose road beds up to 20 percent! Previously, off-road vehicles became instable during hard braking on gritty or sandy road beds, with poorer steering and higher braking distance. This is where ABSplus becomes effective: Thanks to the innovative slippage control, the Touareg pushes a portion of the road bed material under the temporarily locked wheels. A type of chock is thus formed. The braking function is considerably enhanced and the braking distance correspondingly shortened - without any negative effects on steerability. |
